Enjoyable has no accounts and no server of its own. Almost everything you do in this app happens on your phone and stays there.
The hobbies you save, the plans you build, the steps you tick off, your streak, your milestones, the hobbies you have sent away, and the results of the taste quiz are written to a single file inside the app's own storage.
We cannot read that file. It is not uploaded anywhere, it is not backed up to us, and there is no copy of it we could hand over. It is included in your encrypted iPhone or iCloud device backup if you have one, in the same way every app's data is. Deleting the app deletes it.
One thing does: building an action plan. When you tap "Build my action plan", the app sends a request to our own server, which asks a language model to write the plan and passes the result back. We reach the model through OpenRouter, which routes it to whichever company is running it. That request contains:
That last one is a country-level code like "GB" or "US", read from the region you chose in iOS Settings. It is a preference, not a position: we do not use GPS, we do not ask for location permission, and we do not work out where you are from your network. If you set your phone to a different region, the plans change with it.
That last one is the only free text in the app. Please do not put your name, your address, your health details or anyone else's information into it — it is read by a third-party model provider, and it does not need any of that to write you a good plan.
The request carries no name, no email, no account and no advertising ID, and it is not tied to a profile. Our server keeps a count of how many plans have been requested from your network address today, so that nobody can run the bill up; that count is a number, it holds none of the text above, and it is discarded within a day and a half.
We ask OpenRouter to use only providers that do not keep or train on what we send. If no such provider is available the request fails and you get the bundled plan — we would rather it not work than quietly work on different terms.
If you never build a plan, nothing ever leaves your device. If the request fails, the app falls back to a plan written by hand and bundled with the app, and the hobby still works.
Subscriptions are sold and charged by Apple. We never see your card, your billing address, or your Apple Account.
We use RevenueCat to tell us whether a subscription is currently active. It identifies your install by a random identifier it generates — not by anything that names you. It receives the receipt Apple issues and the state of the subscription, and nothing about which hobbies you looked at.
If you allow notifications, the reminder is scheduled on your phone by your phone. There is no push server, so no notification we send can tell us that you opened it.
Enjoyable is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Because your data lives on your device, you hold all of it. Deleting the app erases every saved hobby, plan, streak and quiz result permanently. There is nothing left with us to request, correct or delete — there never was a copy.
If this policy changes, the updated date at the top of this page changes with it, and the new version ships in the app update that makes the change.
